Default 95 Beretta Z26

Hey guys just a quick question. My best friend has a 95 Beretta Z26 and the thinks its the ****, he hasnt come out and said he can beat me but he keeps tellin me we should race. I have a 92 SE and we are both stock except for intakes. I need your opinions on this. I know we have the big 3.8 and he has the 3.1 V6 Im pretty sure I can take him but I just want some reasurance on this one. He doesnt have much pick-up but once it gets up its pretty quick, I still think the Bonne will hand his *** to him. Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Well if its the sport edition (dunno the exact name) my brother in law has one. they are fast as hell... i havent been able to fully test my bonne yet, although everyone says they are fairly quick, i just dont know. ive driven his beretta a few times and from 0-109 (shut off) it just hauls! you dont even feel a kickdown of power all the way through.
Sorry if this isnt what your looking for but lol man i just dont know..... if its the regular model then i dont think you should have a problem with it. try him out....if you lose, well....you lose. cant win everytime right?

If this is the 3.1 I am thinking of, then it is a big fat piece of $h!#. My friend has a Lumina around that year, and that thing has a 3.1, and it is just a horrible engine. I'm sure you will have no trouble beating him.

The older 3.1'* were screwed up. The motor mounts were on top. The battery was underneather a support arm and the washer fluid resivoir. The intake manifold was totally funky looking, and I think the airbox was a pain to work with too. I think it was just an engine for the economy type.

I predict you 2 will be right next to eachother almost the entire race.

Well heres the thing if that Beretta has a 3.1(pile of rhino dung) and not a 3100 then your okay because from my experience the 3100 is a good engine and his car is lighter. But I got a 93 bonne SE and I beat a 96 beretta with a 3100. I whooped him from 0-60 he caught a little from 60-75 but after that I had him because I can go 120 and he can only go 109. So if you go far enough to where that plays in you will smack the sh** out of a skank a$$ beretta.

My sister has a '95 Beretta Z26 and it is a 3.1 rated at 165 HP and I think 190lb. ft. Now this may not sound great, but I am pretty sure it weighs less than 3000lbs, and the 92 Bonneville SE only makes 170HP and 205 lb. ft. You may be suprised. Although from riding in my sister Beretta, they feel kinda slow.
