Why does intact track get dirty?
Didn't want to hijack the thread.. so I start one here.. I know everyone says to clean your TB.. I've done it twice on 2 different cars and never noticed any difference.. but obviously if the TB is that dirty.. that means the rest of the intake track must be just as bad.. so a few question
1. How and why does it get that dirty? Thought with direct fuel injection, fuel doesn't go thru the whole intake tract.. so only air.. unless the air filter is crappy??
2. So cleaning the TB isn't the only thing.. but GM top engine cleaner or sea foam would be needed to clean the whole intake track then.. and cleaning TB ( even if you remove it is a half *** job? ) won't negate the full potential

Thanx.. ok.. so than to do a thorough job.. you not only need to remove and clean the TB but have some kinda topengine sea foam kinda thing for the whole process then
