PCM Upgrade
Hi, I've got a 1997 SSE that has approximately 135,000 miles on it. But the engine was replaced at 94,000 with a 1999 3.8l out of a buick. I've put an upgraded air filter on it, but would like to get a 1997 PCM for an SSE and have it upgraded. For those of you who have had this done, what would you recommend to be done in this type upgrade? I will want to still drive this daily, and don't want to hurt the gas mileage on this car because of this. I would like a little more power, and better gas mileage if that'* possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've got a 2000 SSEI that'* in great shape with only 84,000 miles on it. Thanks guys,

If you don't have anything thats really requiring tuning there isn't a need, other than removed speed and high rev limiters your $100 buys you nothing

Well, that makes sense. I didn't know if the lower temp on the fans, disabeling the rear 02 sensors along with the rev limiters and speed were worth it. thanks for your help. I appreciate it!

No problem, I bought one because I fried my PCM by accident and didn't see anything noticeably better until I did some modification and had to tune it myself
