this is all pending to the fact that a GTP has the same size moonroof
it might not..personally though i like the bonnevilles sunroofs better due to the fact that its in the car and not out of the car..cause when its open down the highway you can feel it drag, not to mention (and i know this applys more to me than most) but ive seen what happens to moonroofs that open like a GTP when you have subs and stuff
hell my buddies GTP (03) he had 2 12'* hitting 146 decibals and his moonroof would flex a good half inch and make an annoying rattle when it was open with the subs on
just my two cents..

really dont care much for the sub issue
i have one 10" sub which is a JL 10W7, it bumps really hard but i doubt anything that i have to worry about, and i barely have it up loud

# 1 reason, i'll admit it right away, just because it looks better, thats right, looks matter a lot lol
# 2 i used to notice way more air flow in the GP than the bonne
# 3 i have no other mods in mind :( lol
as for it opening honestly half an inch or and inch less space makes no difference to me... again im just curious if it can be done.

A lot of things will affect airflow from the sunroof, including the position of the passengers, the volume of the cabin, the location of the windows and how far down they are, and many other things. I highly doubt the higher flow was attributed to the window style, as when moving, air would otherwise just fly over the raised sunroof.
As for additional modifications, if you want something worthwhile to work on, get polyurethane control arm bushings for the front. if you already have them, you'll notice that they don't work properly, as mine don't either. The reason is that from the factory, the factory bushing had a notch that went into a dent in the subframe. There'* no dent here, which allows for too much play instead of having the bushing rest on a flat surface. The solution is an aluminum plate under the bushing so that the bushing rests on a flat surface. I'm going to fabricate some of these for myself soon, and I can make you a set too if you're interested.
Otherwise, go to the rear and try to find a way to make a rear strut tower bar. These are things that will make an immense difference for our cars.

Well I guess while we're brainstorming sunroof ideas, maybe you could do kinda a panoramic roof with front sliding moon roof? Wayyy out there but just a thought. I know some newer cars have them and they are nice but would take a good bit of cutting and work to fit, and that'* even if you could find one that matches the curvature of our roof.

Go to an aftermarket shop that does sunroofs, and see if they have one slightly bigger than the hole you have now. It will have the trim and everything to cover it nicely. My '05 LaCrosse didn't come with one so I had one put in. It tilted up or came completely out and I would put it in the trunk. Looked great and didn't leak.

The shop that did mine had one cool saw blade. It cut clean through everything. Metal to headliner cleanly. And the trim that came with it made everything nice. The only downside was Buick decided to run a 21 wire harness smack down the middle of the roof. Thye said they never seen that before and spliced it all nicely at no extra charge. Not a bad price, I believe it was just over $200.

thats not bad at all, im sure it'll be more in "eh" land though
ill look into that next time i go to Edmonton, this town is so pathetic you can barely get an oil change done.
if not i might just go pick up some parts from a junk yard and take the roof apart and see what i can do. it should keep me busy for a while.
