I am lookin to do a paintjob this winter...the same color dark green or whatever...does anyone know about how much it will cost for paint for the whole car?

little door ding...very little...im having the person im movin in with do it...im just wondering how mucht eh actual paint costs

All the materials and paint only, I'd say between $500-$700 for DuPont or PNG. That'* if you get the self-etching primer, base coat and clear coat. Labor is the killer. The whol shebang will be right around what bonnie94sse said. Just don't go red. That'* some EXPENSIVE paint.

Man, for 3000 bucks they had better strip the car'* shell down to component parts and paint it like it was on the assembly line.

There is a body shop here in town that said he would do my Torino, body work (which there really wasn't much) and a paint job (red with black racing stripes) for $2200 to $2500. Every where else in town was $4700 - $6000, and even got a quote for $10,000! But the work the $2200 churned out was less than impressive, whereas the more expensive ones were like glass. The clear-coat looked 3" thick it was so nice.
