All the materials and paint only, I'd say between $500-$700 for DuPont or PNG. That'* if you get the self-etching primer, base coat and clear coat. Labor is the killer. The whol shebang will be right around what bonnie94sse said. Just don't go red. That'* some EXPENSIVE paint.

Geez ...there is a decent paint shop here in my town (not some crappy Maaco or anything...privately owned and with a good reputation) where I was going to get my GP repainted a while ago, and WITH body work (an hours worth at least) it was going to cost me $1850! I would say you have to be able to get a better deal than that somewhere.

Man, for 3000 bucks they had better strip the car'* shell down to component parts and paint it like it was on the assembly line.

There is a body shop here in town that said he would do my Torino, body work (which there really wasn't much) and a paint job (red with black racing stripes) for $2200 to $2500. Every where else in town was $4700 - $6000, and even got a quote for $10,000! But the work the $2200 churned out was less than impressive, whereas the more expensive ones were like glass. The clear-coat looked 3" thick it was so nice.
