Bonneville purchase in future need info
I'm wanting to get some info on bonnevilles. I'm currently looking at a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. It'* black with black leather power seats, not sure if heated, moonroof, 4 door obviously, 3.8 obviously, and it has a 60K miles which is high but its in good condition. I'm just wondering if there is anything in general I should look for like a common problem that I should wathc out for or anything like that. I'm not new to GM in general but if i get this it will be my first bonny.
EDIT: There asking 15,900 on the bonny
Anyway if I plan on getting this I would want to clear the corners in front and rear and maybe put some dynomax super turbo mufflers or some borla mufflers with a nice set of dual/dual polished tips, 15% window tint, install my panasonic head unit and put in my mtx sledgehammer system with a alarm and remote start, and possibly put on some nice 18" black polished lip rims i think would look nice on it so please feel free to post some info and leave any info on other mods I could possibly to it if i get it. Thanks

15K is WAY too much.
it bluebooks for $11,500
If you wanted to trade it in right now it is worth $9000, probably what the dealer paid for it.
If you have 15k to spend I'd look at a 2002-2003 SSEi with low miles, much faster to begin with and the drivetrain is designed to take the extra power.
Same body style, looks identical, all the options if not more than the SLE. I've seen the 2002-2003 SSEis with less than 50k miles go for $10k-$14k
non supercharged l36 motor is no slouch however.

Also on the clearing corners part would I need to somehow take apart the headlights and taillights or just reach through a socket hole with some needle nose pliers and peel off the amber. Thanks.

$15k way too much for a 2004 SLE??? $11,500 might be trade in value, but not what he would expect to pay. I did a search on Autotrader, and there are only three SLE'* in the entire country for less than $15,000 regardless of mileage.
I would say that unless he were willing to take his time, and travel possibly hundreds of miles for a car, the one he is looking at is a fair deal. Of course you should never give someone what they are asking for a car.
