Default Flushed the coolant yesterday, twas nasty

I have about 3 gallons of stuff that still smells like coolant, then I filled up my 15 qt drainpan ten times full of water and rusty crap lol. What I did was drain the rad, fill it with warm water, drain it again. Fill it with warm water, run engine for 2 min, shut off, drain, fill with warm water, drain, do it again. That was until about the 6th emptying of the drainpan when I found my nifty hose adapter I bought at walmart.

Garden hose goes straight into it (had to thaw that out, and made the garage real wet, but owell), and it fits right into the spout on the top of the rad. Took out the thermostat, disconnected the upper rad hose from the engine and clamped it, and put the hose on full blast. Got a black-organish substance coming out of the thermostat housing for a good three minutes... then clear water. So after it was done flushing, I went ahead and filled it again with warm water (didn't want to run freezing cold water thru a luke-warm motor), and threw in some Prestone Super Radiator Cleaner. I shall run it like that for about a tank of gas or so (a week).

This starts the replacement of the UIM, and added ported LIM. Lately that'* always been in the back of my mind while I'm driving. I just see a picture of a plastic composite intake melting to pieces in my head, grayish colored motor oil, and then a big squeel and engine just locks lol.

I need to get to porting that LIM this week. Everybody mentions finding the centroid of the hole. Why couldn't I just take the measurement of how much needs cut, and just cut that number in half and make that how much I take off of each side? Or is that too simple?

That is some very detailed radiator flushing. Were you running Dex? It'* good to know, though, that you're taking such great care of your car. Also, how are you going to stop the water from freezing and destroying your engine block?

Yes, Dex.

Temperatures are not expected to go below freezing for the next week during the day, let alone the night. So if I'm at work, it won't be freezing. If I'm at home, it'll be in the garage . I did my homework .

Here'* what the ground looked like after the first two washes of the overflow bottle. Used a little purple power and warm water. Thing still isn't anywhere near clean, but now atleast you can see inside of it.

P.*. Yes, I already drained the coolant and freeflowing debris out of the water before this
