no, many people put in 5 quarts along with a pf-52 oil filter instead of the the pf-47

myself included.

Just another question along with this topic is the PF 52 oil filter any better than the PF 47 or does it just hold more oil?

Thanks, Erik

My PF52 system takes very close to 5 quarts, so no shame. Is it overfilled? If its just over by like a slivver, I wouldn't worry about it

The PF52 is basicly a longer PF47.... There may be better flow ability, as weall a extended filtering life due to the larger size...

Now the question is will it fit in there with the oil cooler adapter on you car?
That is a good question does anybody run a PF 52 on a series 1??
