what is the difference between the starters from the L27 and L36? Are they interchangeable?

I noticed that the starters from the series one sound different from the ones from the series two, is this true?

yes, I'll confirm this, but I think it'* just the one I have in mine. It sounds a lot different than any other Bonneville I've sat in, so it might just be me, idk.

Don't get a standard starter. You want a gear-reduced starter from an L67.

Trust me.

Run a cross-reference online. Any parts store. NAPA, Autozone, GMPD. See what the numbers tell you.

Gear-reduced starter for those that don't know. They're more expensive rebuilt/new, but maybe not from the wrecker.
