There is no question that Bonneville Club is a close net family! I just feel sorry that some people cant debate topics without feeling like it is personal attack against there integrety. One has to ask themselves, Is it better to lie to ones face or to tell them the truth?

I kind of like it when people just don't lie....lol, But anyway, Good condition stock for stock, Hands down L67. Slighty modded L27 vs extremely mechanically wanting L67, I have a little L67 badge to put on my kills list

I have driven both engines in both generations. lol but again no ones' gonna listen. No one is open to anything new.

Jason, any specific comments to this real world comparison?

driverjohn, in the slowest SSEi year of all (1992) running poor boost (only hitting 6psi on a floz supercharger), horrible weight transfer (ELC broken completely, A$$ dragging) on a HOT day (110°+) at Woodburn ran two 16.6'* with equal 60'* to yours. The worst mechanical example, slowest year, and horrible track conditions, not to mention the exhaust leaks that were fixed 2 days later. In effect, he was SLOWER than stock by a big margin considering the mechanical condition of his car and the conditions at the track. From the other 3800'* that ran at the track that day, the conditions ALONE were being reported to cost each car 0.5 seconds off their ET'*. This was confirmed by my own ET'* as well as that of the SilverBullet and PontiacFamily. And 2 GTP'*.

So in effect, he would have normally run (in decent conditions at the track, same mechanical condition), a 16.1 second ET. All that in poor mechanical condition.
I noticed you kind of overlooked it.

BonneMeMn:
Yes it'* modded, but i'm confident i could take a Stock 93 SSEi.
Ok, Jason:
So I've given you a SLOWER than stock 92 SSEi in poor mechanical condition, who ran with all the junk in the trunk (which you had removed at Byron, with much better track conditions), and you still don't see the point?

Can your car take a stock Chrysler 300M? Which is commonly compared to the SSEi? Mine did stock with a .090 eroded plug gap before any mods. First day I had it, on 89 octane (what the dealer put in it). There'* your 93 comparison to go with it.

Let'* continue the debate. Is it really possible? Can someone calculate the potential ET loss from John'* exhaust leaks, broken rear suspension, junk in the trunk, shitty Floz supercharger at 6psi, and 110° track temps?

We have a flame-free forum here. And it should be clearly stated that we intend to keep it that way. However, if you make ridiculous claims that can't be backed up, you are in effect INVITING flames. I'm giving you hard data to support my side of the debate, and I'm doing it in a very respectful manner. If you make a claim, can you back it up?

I think I've done an effective job of supporting my side of the argument (and that of a couple others here), and I invite you to a rebuttal.

Sorry for the novel, i'm sure i'd get banned for something this long at some other places i visit...

I dared you to prove me wrong, and you're there. It'* no perfect comparison, but what will we ever have around here that is. I'm done with this debate, because whatever i have to say is circumstantial at this point. All things equal i'm sure you're right. But the point we can all take away is that circumstances are what makes or breaks races.

That being said, i've been taken too seriously. Yes it gets back to me, more then you might know, and more then i'd care to know. I'm not trying to undercut anyone, disrespect, or **** off people. I know my place, and the number under my name doesnt' mean ****, except for i've asked more questions then most. If you think i've offended you, or put you down, then make a point of it. 99.99% of the time i'm just asking to learn. What answers come up teach me, and anyone else who clicks on that topic. I do not think that any question is stupid, or pointless.

My thread in the lounge was based on much much more then this. I'm physicallly feeling the strain of anything on the computer through my wrist, a pinched nerve most likely. Much of my between time in my life is spent on some websites. This single "event" isn't bothering me at all. If you notice i've been in this thread at 3 times during the day. Not once between them did i even care about it. Personal frienships have taken a dive as well, and there are many aspects of my life i need to re-evaluate, #1 is my time. I've woken up after 10 am ONCE since the end of august for example.

I'm a college student, i'm at a point in my life where i'm supposed to question, and form my own opinions. That'* all this is, is opinions. You state yours, i state mine, and hopefully we can all sing Kumbaya at the end of the day in one big group.

I'm not however the typical 20 year old College student. I find the best things in life for me have the most Character, or Soul. I'd rather watch a yellow needle fly, instead of some numbers change, i'd rather listen to something with a guitar that was written by the artist then pre packaged hip hop. I'd rather do something controversial, then something that makes everyone happy.

Might be a product of my own morals, my parents, where i've lived, and what i've seen. Your guess is as good as mine. The last few months i've been in a rush for everything, so things don't get read over like they should, not enough time may be spent on things that should be, etc. I ask myself WTF plenty of times when going thru old things, no matter what they are.

I really, do not think so highly of my vehicle or it'* engine, atleast as depicted. There have been times where i was turned off by other and said some of my opinions. I am not after the #1 bonneville in the land at all. Certainly not with MN winters to deal with.. however i'm here for fun. I really coulnd't care less about who'* faster or not, unless i have a goal. No one buys a bonneville because they are interested strictly in performance. Hell i bought an L27 over an L36, because the car overall was that much better, to essentially give up the aftermarket. If i was all about being a top performer, i would not be driving a slushbox, fwd, 3700lb Domestic car, plain and simple. Again, i've said things about the bonneville that may have pissed off others. I'll admit that this car isn't the greatest. However it'* one of th best for my stage in life. I do not consider straight line performance #1 either anymore.

At the end of the day, i think some people have taken me too personally, and i'm sorry for that. I don't consider anyone here an enemy, below me, or stupider then me. I'm not passing blame, i'm just asking for a 2nd chance.

i would like to commend the honesty of BonneMeMN on his novel. like i was trying to relay last night but to tired to find the right words. 1993sle (pat) i think understood what i was trying to say we were talking about it last night.

i also understand that there are disputes between family members, but how often does the outside world see them ur distpute w/ ur family? think about the people that will be checking this site out once they read the article, they are going to see out family disputes doesn't look to good. we want to get more members, and everyone has their own opinions but this just got out of hand.

JUST REMEMBER THEY ARE OPINIONS (granted i was pissed over some the **** but i have a temper so i just kept my opinions out for the most part)

(hey pat sorry for crossing the line last night, wasn't the right night to joke with that)
