The exhaust manifolds already have heat shields on them...

I added the heat shield from the GrandPrixStore over the crossover pipe to reduce the reflective heat.
My heat gun shows the temp of the front exhaust manifold at around 400 deg F. It probably gets hotter. The crossover does have a casing sheild but the temp is around 250 deg F. That was not acceptable for me right under the intake throttle body so I added the additional sheild.
The temp of the sheild stays at around 160 F. Cooling air from the fans passes over it like a foil. It looks sharp too cause it'* chromed and reflects the underside of the intake.

Get the CAI from Hector at ADTR Domestic performance.
The Thrasher from GrandPrix store is more specific to pre 2000 models but will probably work if you dremel it.

Oh man am I confused :?:
I meant get the CAI from Ty at Domestic Performance. It is hiding in the Grand Prix section. Ty - you will have to add it to the Bonneville section too.
Sorry Hector. I know you are working on a prototype but your website only shows one "in development".

www.domesticperformance.com

For those interested, I'll be fabricating a Series 1 CAI around Hectors first Series 1 ADTR intake. He gets first shot at it. If he or Ty doesn't want the design, I'll publish it. I really want to offer it to them first, in gratitude for everything they do for us.

Don't let the heads swell, guys. There'* no room in California for more swollen heads.
