Default Dealer mailed me the Factory Window Sticker- Repair Receipts

Well, the Factroy Window sticker was $31,215.00 and the previous owner dumped $4,324.03 in repairs after the warranty ended. The car was in multiple times during the first year '93 for electrical problems (lumbar shorts, Blower ctrl. module replaced (twice), etc.). Then there were transmission problems in '97 which looked like she got repaired under the earlier warranty.

I bought the car for $3,500.00, 115K miles one owner, so I think I got a good deal. Anyways, I'm bored right now, bouncing back and fourth between here and F-Body.com . I'm kinda hoping I can get this car another 100K without spending a dime beyond regular maint . Maybe?!?

Good for you for getting the repair receipts! Thats a great thing to have as now you can know what to look out for. I think the car will do fine, I would personally leave it stock and just drive it and enjoy it.

And as far as the 100k thing....well you'll probably have to do some work on the cooling system at some point. Did you have it inspected by a mechanic yet?

You'll probably have some electrical problems along the way.

Preventative maintence and some easy mods will prevent or stop around 90-95% of most problems.

If it made it this far, you're good to go it sounds like.

Does this have to be done at the dealership the car was purchased from? Cause thats like 2000 miles east of me. And if so, will my one local dealership have access to all the repairs done to it at any GM dealership?

Yeah, I think the only mod'* I'll do are a Pulley, intake and cooler thermo. No, never had it inspected by a mechanic. I do most of my own repairs anyway, and everything looks pretty easy to get too.
