So far, so good. I took the car to get washed, had the engine running for about 25 mins, idle, cruise, getting on it a little, and no blown fuse. Now it'* time to start driving around. So I'm taking the kids to school with it in the morning.

It'* good when you care enough to wash it again.
Good things .. just don't blow the trans before you can build a real one. It'* been my understanding that the 3rd clutches do most of the wearing along with the inputs and the input piston wearing. Since you didn't replace any of those, they are likely the weakest points.

A friend came over to see and feel the new build. I took him for a drive, put it down and took off. Went in to 2nd and started to sputter. What the heck. After he left I hooked up the computer and went for a drive. Again, sputter at higher rpms. But nothing looked real odd on the scan. So I figured it was spark related. Checked the wires, all good. Pull the plugs to inspect. I pulled plug #1, I started at #5, go figure. Ya, I think this would cause a bad misfire.
Changed that plug and it'* fine now. I think I did that with the socket I used. It didn't have the rubber insert. It does now.

Rubber inserts are a must, we would use a box wrench to change plugs on the racecars just to make double sure we didn't damage them going in, only difference was we had TONS of room to work on the motor and could actually see all the spark plugs. . . .
