Default Tire and Wheel size

Can someone tell me if the wheel size for the 92 SSE and the 97 SSEi are the same ? I just bought tires for my 92 SSE and want to put them on my 97 SSEi.

Cheers,

Andrew

Look at the side of the tires they'll have their size stated.
For example my tires are 225/60HR16.
You'll see something like that on yours, if they match your ok. Other wise I believe the lug nut patterns are all the same so if they don't match on size the speed will be off.

edit: just looked at www.tirerack.com OE on the 92 is 215/60-16 and the 97 is 225/60-16

Thanks.

Yeah, I was hoping someone knew the standard sizes for these 2 cars. I can look tomorrow, I just wanted to arrange something today.

Cheers,

Andrew

Yeah, the 215'* were the steel wheels with plastic covers. A 92 SSE such as yours will have 225/60R16'* that are the same size on Bonnies up to 99. In 03, it'* 225/60R16 for SE and 235/55R17 for SLE and SSEi.
