Oil Filters
I have read many topics on here that people dont use Fram oil filters or the love Fram oil filters or K&N or Purolator but no one has ever said why NOT to use Fram oil filters. I use a Fram Long Life filter and have had no problems. Why should someone stay away from Fram and use a K&N filter :?:

IIRC it has to do with Fram using a plastic core and cardboard internals.
For your money, you are better off with a Wix, AC Delco or Purolator filter.
I am sure some of the other members will chime in on this....

Fram is consistently rated the worst oil filter on the market by independent sources.
Purolator makes the K&N, and both are good. AC Delco is too.
Someone will link you to who makes what shortly. I can't find it, and I have dinner cooking.

Basically, Fram makes junky filters. Do NOT use them.
Personally, I only run AC Delco because they are of reasonable cost and I think they are made by Wix, who rank rather well in filtration.
