Default Spring builds, 2011

OK, it'* about time we start planning our spring builds. This is the perfect time to start the list. That gives you all winter to collect the parts and learn what you need to do the build. A successful build is all about planning.

So post up what you have in mind.

I had planned to do little with my car in spring and was going to do some building on my shop instead. Well, that'* changed.

Right now my planned build is to get a L36 short block and transfer over my heads, unless I can find a set of ported heads. My intake, intercooler, ported supercharger, headers, throttle body, injectors, 8rib pulley. The cam will need to be inspected, but I may need to buy a new one. In short, I'm building a whole new engine.

The L36 will give me higher compression so I can run lower boost on the supercharger. That'* less heat, so higher timing, and lower parasitic loss of HP due to a smaller pulley.

I'm planning on getting headers, injectors, and doing a bit of suspension work. Working on putting back for the parts now.

I plan on finally putting my n/a build together.
Abbott racing heads/cam, long tubes, basically every other n/a bolt on, rebuilt 60-e with a couple tricks and 3.43s, polished/painted stuff, shaved/painted bay, and cunifer brake lines.
Also buying a buddy'* 5-spd i30 that I swapped a vq35 into 3-4 years back. It'll be the beater for when all the bay work takes place.

I've got a shed full of parts, but not sure what I'm gonna do or even if I'm gonna keep the Bonnie.
