Could you do us a favor and kind of keep all of the Threads you have grouped into one... makes it easier to answer the questions you have..
Also what is the Model of your Bonneville? I will assume its a 93?
Also post the first 10 of the Vin number

To clear up the Supercharged SE "rumor", Here is the breakdown:
in 92-93 the SSE had an option for the supercharger along with the SSEi.
94 only had the SSEi as supercharged
95-97 you could get the SE in a supercharged version, or the SSEi
98-03 only the SSEi came factory Supercharged.

However, to get the SE supercharged from 95-97, you had to get the SLE package as well.
One of the two cars in my signature is a Supercharged SE (SLE package). The engine is pretty much identical in every way to an SSEi of the same year. The only difference is that it doesn't have a MAP sensor for a boost gauge. I had to add that.

It'* also hard to tell what "whine" you think you are hearing.
And he would have two belts.... if he was superchagred, N/A only has one.
