Default Supercharged SE

ok now i know that i've been hering rumors about SEs coming superchrged from the factory, but the real problem im having is what would the engine of 1 look like because with mine even though i dont see a supercharger in my engine compartment, i still hear the whine of 1 when i rev the engine. Anybody think they could help me out?

To clear up the Supercharged SE "rumor", Here is the breakdown:

in 92-93 the SSE had an option for the supercharger along with the SSEi.
94 only had the SSEi as supercharged
95-97 you could get the SE in a supercharged version, or the SSEi
98-03 only the SSEi came factory Supercharged.

However, to get the SE supercharged from 95-97, you had to get the SLE package as well.

One of the two cars in my signature is a Supercharged SE (SLE package). The engine is pretty much identical in every way to an SSEi of the same year. The only difference is that it doesn't have a MAP sensor for a boost gauge. I had to add that.

i would also like to point out that you could get a SC in a SSE in 97...this is Verfied in Jrs3800 dealer borchure that he has

It'* also hard to tell what "whine" you think you are hearing.

And he would have two belts.... if he was superchagred, N/A only has one.
