Default Spark plug wire difference

Is there really any difference between $15 wiresets (valuecraft, duralast, etc.) and the $35-$60 wiresets (autolite'*, ac delco, balden, etc.). Does mostly everyone choose the better brand because of the life span or is it just a name thing? Are the internals cheaper wiresets any different than the pricey wiresets? I would also like to here from people who run or ran the cheaper wiresets, as to the type of problems they ran into.

I have the duralast gold set from Autozone, I haven't had any problems with them but then since they have a lifetime warranty I do swap them out every year.
