That sounded awesome!!!!!
Last night my friend called me and asked if I could help him get his 1995 SLE started. Went over to his place and tried starting it. No luck. Plenty of battery (13.0v with the key off). Ther thing just cranked and cranked, puffing and backfiring (lightly). Full tank of 93 octane. Didn't pull the spark plugs to check them, but no doubt they need to be changed.
Anyhow, his SES light has been on for awhile ad the car had been running half-a$$, but not real bad.
Anyhow, to get back on track, he wanted to go visit his GF who lives 25 miles away. I wanted to get to bed so I could drive him so I lent him my 1994 SLE (he owns a Bonneville so I knew he wouldn't abuse mine -at least no more than I do ). Anyhow, when I got out of the car and he took off I heard my car in a way I had never before -from the outside with someone else driving away in it. WOW!!! No doubt the cold air changes the tone, BUT DAMN!!! That did not sound like a V6, let alone a 3800. It sounded deep, meen and slightly V8.
Today I called him and the first thing he said was "THAT CAR IS BEOTCHIN'!!! I never knew your car was that much faster than mine!!! It doesn't even sound like mine."
All I could say was "It shouldn't -your car is a bone stock Series II and mine a mildly modified Series I 3800."
Anyhow, just thought I share the experience,
Martin

In all honesty your 1994 SSE should sound better. I am running my cold air intake (minus MAF screen), stock catalytic convertor, no resonator, and the GM performance muffler off my 1992 (same muffler as Jason has on his purple 1993 SLE).
I am not running the Magnaflow anymore (haven't since August) but with that on I bet my car would really sound like a V8.
With your hi flow cat and Flowmaster muffler on your SSE you should have a kickin sound coming out your tail-end. Definitely worth some audio/video.
I should try and take some with my Olympus Digital -it can record 60 seconds audio/video. Well worth every decibal.
