Default Killed Intrepid

I was racing my gf'* parents and they have like a 96 Dodge Intrepid. I have heard those cars can fly, but they can't. I have no mods on my car other than the plugs and wires, and I smoked their car. PLus i had a leak and my exhaust, which made me lose ALOT of HP.

I talked to a guy who has a newer Intrepid (2.7), and I mentioned they were sluggish, but he said they are very fast. I didn't tell him after that that I killed one a couple weeks prior.

Nice job. Now just slap a new performance exhaust on that baby.

my brother had a 2000 intrepid as a rental when he destroyed a grand prix with his excursion. the grand prix was D O N E forevor, excursion needed some new trim pieces and the bumper/brush gaurd got scratched good.

it thad the 2.7 and he let me drive it, that thing was a DOG. off the line it was like a metro, once it wound up it was decent, but no way fast at all. i know they came with a 3.2 that year, which im sure have a little get up, but the 2.7 belongs in a neon.

96 was the "old" style, either had a 3.3 or a 3.5. 3.3'* were slow, really slow, right around the 2.7 slow. the 3.5'* had 214hp so they had some get up, was probably the 3.3 if you wasted it with a series I 3.8

not a big fan of intrepids or dodge for that matter, except for the SRT-4 Yeah I have heard they can be fast, but honestly I'd pick a bonnie over an intrepid anyday. My friend has a blue neon that'* actually rather nice, and that thing can move. I saw a spoofed up neon destroy a viper, of course the neon was running high 11'* with spray and the viper was running high 12'* without, just basically stock. Some things can be fast if ur willing to invest time and money, but u had to ask yourself, is this car gonna be worth the money I put into it, if it'* a bonnie then yes.

i remember this guy at work had a 94 concorde 3.5 (same thing as a intrepid) and he was telling me this racing story he had where he beat a brand new accord.

the whole time i laughing my *** off, not because i thought the accord was faster or anything, but the guy was 64, he was retired and worked at home depot part time to pass the time. He was a cool old guy though, every sentence had F'in this Fin that in it.

good times, good times

Default my defense

sad, but very true. dodge intrepids are extrememly slow from the get go. i own a 97 intrepid with the sucky 3.3L. but when i'm around the 35-45mph mark and i punch it. i'm gone. i have no trouble after getting to that speed. its not a prob max it out a 120, but it takes for ever to reach to 35-45.

i'm rather confused on why anyone would really buy an intrepid when a 300m is right around the corner... i've driven a few intrepids and i wasn't too impressed... bonne all the way.
