Default GTX turbo build

Guess I should start a thread on this.

Pulled the engine and trans out yesterday.

Old engine out, and new engine ready to be built.

Cleaned it all up.

Anyone guess what is wrong with this picture?

Chunks in the oil pan is never a good thing.

1. It'* about time you posted this project! LOL.

2. I see metal shavings on the cam magnet.

3. I see a broken chain guide spring.

4. I see the piece of broken chain guide spring on the engine hoist frame.

5. I see a piece of timing cover seal on the hoise frame

The other 2 things in the last picture, not sure.

What the hell is that, a vacuum line?

The chunks are the tensioner.

The kind of J shape thing is the broken spring from the tensioner.

The curved part, not sure, it'* metal. Thought it looked a bit like a piston ring, but I pulled all the pistons and all the rings were there.

I've seen every part of the inside of a engine a hundred times. And I have no idea what that is. I also found what looked like part of snap from a jacket sitting in one of the heads. Very strange engine.

Got a bunch done today.

Stripped the new engine down.

It was a heck of a fight, but got the double roller chain installed.

Installed the new cam and the front Plog.

Got the front end back together.

And this is all I'm doing today.

Cleaned up a bit and called it a day.

What the heck? Well, I'm sure it'* not important.

I think it'* time I head to the scrap yard.

To much junk.

Oh ya, and the snail.
