not a boring FWD

EDITED: a GXP is almost like a sport car? how did you conclude that? from its FWD drivetrain? or its weight? or its slow V8?
even though i love my GXP, it suck in everyway if you wanna consider it a "sport" car
Relax. The GXP badge should have given you a tip for a second. If not, the GXP brakes should have. Were it not for the soft suspension and comparatively small sway bars, the Bonneville might actually be able to get close to .9g'* in the skidpad. FWD? The Cobalt SS Turbo spanks the STi on the 'ring. FWD > AWD? This isn't the early 90'* anymore.

You come back and tell me FWD'* are boring when you get to a real race track with a RWD car and get your *** handed to you in anything you're driving by a bone stock Cobalt SS Turbo.

Speaking of making good turns, you should watch the videos of my buddy with the 94 GP SE, 3100 engine, and the same suspension mods I have, kicking the **** out of C5 Corvette Z06'* on autocross tracks. He doesn't have end to end laps, but he should have a time board somewhere up there. We had a guy on the forums who has a turbo 3.4 DOHC motor in a Lumina Z34 with commonly available suspension modifications and he swears it handles a lot better than his stock black C5 Corvette Z06 on autocross tracks.

While we're on that topic, you're more than welcome to tell me that the .91g skidpad on my 95 Regal with my old 15" tires sucks too. Oh wait, isn't that what a 2010 Mustang GT gets? Haven't gone back to try for a new test since i put the Audi A4 17" rims on there.

Sorry, if you're trying to make the point that the Bonneville GXP isn't *almost* a sportscar, its not working. If you're trying to prove to me that a FWD car can't take corners and can't be a sports car, its not working.

But if all you're trying to demonstrate is that your car is all show and no go, then that'* all you really ever had to say. Some people just don't care for the speed, and that'* fine, but for those who do, 20" rims with tiny tires are a pretty bad idea. That'* all I was trying to get across.

my point was if you're interested in a "sport" car or going fast, Bonneville is not the car for it
Bonneville is a fast grocery getter

exactly, i mean i know it does have better suspension, better brakes, sway bars bla bla
but FWD werent made for track or race, i drove many cars... Corvettes , GTOs, Camaros, STi, G35, Chargers SRT8 and alot more, and theres noway you can compare our car to them, even a GP isnt even close to be a race car, its a straight line car, nothin more..

and as for a Cobalt, theres noway a stock Cobalt can compete with a STi, its a sin to even mention cobalt and sti in the same thread, as for engine and suspension mods, thats a toally different story, compare stock to stock

there are Civics running 10s, were the ZR1 is running 11 i think, does that make the Civic a track or race car? its still a damn Civic!! lol
