Looks like I am going to have to get a 1998 L67 engine (out of a different 98 Regal GS) with unknown mileage for $400 instead of the 1998 Regal.... I bid $400 on it and someone already had a higher bid.

be prepared for parts swapping on the motors.. but you already know that

sell the SC, LIM, fuel rail, injectors, alternator and exhaust manifolds and you have paid for more than a $400 motor

I actually still have all the stuff needed for swapping a W-body motor into a H-body (except oil filter bracket) as I had bought everything (HELP coolant elbows, different gaskets, etc...) when I did the first swap and the shop didn't realize and bought them again... I ended up paying + cursing myself by keeping them instead of giving them to the shop to replace the parts they bought.

Yeah, I will be selling the ported LIM and ported.pullied SC off the current engine. Would retain the 00+ fuel rail and sell the 98 rail and injectors. I guess I should also start parting out the original motor out of the 99.... only have the manifolds gone so far (using them on the current engine).

Damn that really sucks!! Good luck getting SOMETHING back together and running great. You really deserve to have a solid - fast - running car with all the work you know how to do and your extensive 3800 knowledge...
