oh man that is too bad..

yeah IMO, it definitely sounds like either that engine from up here or a reman engine. Did you say the engine is free? Has the engine been tested? Is it an engine from a 95 or...?

but as for the accel problem, that sounds like trans slipping...so even if you get the new/good engine it still might not accelerate like you want it to...

From what he described, it sounds more like the bottom end tanking...

Imagine if you put your hands together and rubbed them together fast for a while... Sonner or later you will develop a lot of heat... If the tollerances on the bottom end are messed up you will have a simmilar result... The bearings getting too hot will slow the engine down as the bearings and crank will expand as they get hot... I'm looking for the right way to explain what happens but I just don't seem to be able to...

But the description he gave perfectly described a bad bottom end...
So therefore, this would be the reason why it doesn't stall, or have low oil pressure when it'* freshly started each day, but after it'* been warmed up ?

I caught this one late (work, work, work, schol, work :( ) but good to hear the shop is doing what IMO any good one would do and is replacing the motor free since they weren't on the money the first time. Hope the Bonne is tight and right for ya after this!
