Default Ran Out of Gas

I ran out of gas coming home from class today. It totally sucked... I walked 3.5 miles to call someone on the phone because I done have a cell at the moment. I called alot of people and noone was answering. So I decided to start walking home. I get about 1/4 the way Id say 3 more miles and my brother see'* me and stops. We get a gas can and now Im home. I am very tired. My feet hurt, Im to big to be walking that far.

Thats also why it is never good to let the tank run flat dry...that pump need the fuel to stay cool and lubricated. Having the fuel pump gasping at air in an empty tank is not good...

And its very expensive to fix. You ever drop a tank on an old car? You never know what you are going to get.

I feel your pain. I am about to run out myself. I have no money to fill my tank so thats the way it goes. I ran my grand am out (1985) and had to walk about 6 miles one time, this was years ago. Its sucks when that happens

May want to consider changing the fuel filter after you run a full tank through it. Could have pulled some gunk up from the bottom of the tank. An ounce of prevention.......
