Default SHOOTING DOWN AURORA'*

So, I was on my way to my friends place here in Albuquerque, and I had to go up Montgomery, which is where all of the high school punks go with thier cars to race, anyway, I pulled up to the light and two aurora'* pulled up on either side, they had both been racing and it sounded like both had at least intake and possibly both had exhaust. So, they both rev at me and I know its on. I have a sticker on the rear windows at the bottom that reads "equal opportunity *** kicker" so I get reved at alot. Well I rev up to 2500 rpm and hold the brake, the light turns and we're off. They both took me for about 60 ' out of the hole, but then I pulled on them like no tomorrow, I had them both by 45 and there was a good two car links between us by 60. Now I want to race a brand new aurora and see how it hangs. It'* nice to know that we can take V8'* without much trouble.

I’m dropping a v8 in.

The hp gain is not huge at this point but the potential is around 400hp when it’* all done. I was going to go with the 4.6l but instead I’m going with the 4.9/5.0 because of the type of engine/pushrod. It means the "hotrod" feel I’m after will be much more apparent. Lumpy cam. It will start off with 300hp. I will have videos on the site asap. The site will be uploaded to the net this weekend. Far from finished but I said I would put it up so I will. LOL

If you are serious I can swap a 4.6l into any h body 2003 or 1992. I am not 100% sure on the 1991 and older. So if you want it done my phone # will be on the site and you can call me. I am far from offering it as a "kit" but I can do it very easily. I figure no one on this site wants to spend the money to get a V8 putting out 300hp when its so much cheaper to get the same hp with the 6. But the 400hp range is very different because you can still smog a 4.6 with 400hp. Not the case with a 3.8l pushing 400hp. Also a v8 will not have the issue of a SC. Another issue is the 450hp mark is very much the end of the road for the average 3.8l, but with a V8 that number is 600hp.
