New Bonneville owner...
Hey! Just got a 99 SSE and I am in LOVE. I wanted some advice... it'* got 163,000 miles on it already, and I don't know much about these cars and how long they tend to last. I want to get it modified and jazzed up, but is it worth it? It'* not gonna crap out on me in like five years, is it?
and in case you can't tell, I a beginner with cars, but I want to know more

With the proper maintenance any 3800 car should last you a long long time, stock or modified.

Welcome to the club! And with that many miles general maintenance must be kept up with but I have 160k on mine and many here have far more miles then us with original engines and trannies.

Take some time to read up on this forum, there'* a ton of info here for you to learn. If you take good care of your car, it will usually reward you with good service.

Well don't be afraid to ask questions if you don't get something or need to know what some terminology means. Most of the time we won't bite your head off....lol.
