Fuel Pressure Regulators
Does anyone know if the fuel pressure regulators in an L36 and a Series 2 L67 are the same, if not can they be changed without any problems??

You would think so...it may be just a clip but in the process of trying to remove this "simple" clip, the fuel line gets cut, a bolt is snapped, bloody stains everywhere, a dent on the rocker panel from trying to get underneath but that head was just too big...so the car has to be jacked up some more but the jackstands was on unstablized ground and it falls to the ground crushing the new fuel regulator which you have to buy another one on top of a new bolt, new fuel lines, paper towels (to clean up the blood) and a ice pack for your head, oh and a new retainer clip for the clip that'* permenantly embedded in the ground.
It could be simple or friggin hard
(thank god mine was replaced under a GM recall...)

Using ring pliers.. remove ring.. wiggle and pull on regulator. Insert new one.. put ring back in. If it takes 5 full minutes you fought it hard.

S1 and S2 are not the same, nor are L67 or L36. DIFFERENT. But easy to change (depending on how long they've been stuck in there).

Not to the best of my knowledge, but GMPD will tell you.
I know the L27 and S1 L67 are not the same. Nor are the 92/93 L67 and 94/95 L67 (94/95 L67 is actually LOWER with a 2.7bar than the 92/93 L67 at 3.0bar......suspicion is that the 94/95 manages the fuel injectors differently).

Well, theres only 1 way to find out I guess, I have a perfect 96 L36 FPR here, and a 96 L67 FPR that sat out in the rain a couple times and has a little surface rust. I guess 1st I'll try the L67, if it doesn't work the L36, then I guess I might have to make a trip to Advance.
