Blow up the Regal, hmmmm? . Even if I dont beat the Regal (if we ever get to racing) I would still like a fighting chance. The thing that I really want is to have more power in my beast . It is really a dissapointment to drive the regal for a day or so then get back into my car and be like, ok, what happened here? I had that regal smoking the tires easy. To get my bonny to burn it takes certain conditions. My goal is to at least beat this Regal in engine HP if I can't beat it in a race!! Hopefully without having to resort to an engine swap. This is driving me nuts , can you tell?

Anyway about my question I had before, can someone tell me what intake kit will fit the Bonny? It seems there not many made for the Bonny. I was wandering if there was another cars intake kit that would fit this one.? I really like those K&N intake kits, but I dont know which one to buy. When ever I put it my vehicle on the site it only comes up with the regular filter and oil filter.
I am going to beat that regal or die trying

Dan,
(That is your name, isn't it?), ADTR (Hector) offered an intake specifically for the Bonneville. Domestic Performance (Ty) may offer an intake. Both are members here. If you go to the "Links" page (Look at the very top of the screen), you should find a link to their sites.
As for the specs on a Regal, it has 200hp--not 205hp. The difference between the engines is that the W-body (Regal, GP) has a U-Bend in the exhaust pipe that robs the 3800 of 5hp.
You may also be experiencing a difference in tires when you burn out with the Regal and attempt to do so with the Bonneville. If you have sticker tires on the Bonne, it will provide for a better launch while at the track.
And as Deathrat said, the Regal is much lighter than the Bonneville--which provides for better acceleration and more impressive burnouts (if the burnout is what impresses you).
One further note, you would not need a new tranny with an engine swap unless you were going from an NA (naturally aspirated) application to a Supercharged application. The Supercharged cars received a HD version of the 4T60E or the 4T65E (depending on year) transmission.
Good luck in your performance endeavors.

Ok thanks, I will check those intakes out.I want to get the intake kit, exhaust, and better wires then I will be done for a while. I found out today experimenting that most of my power loss is when the trans is in OD. I floored it in overdrive, it had balls , nothing impressive though. I put in in Drive and floored it and she about put me in the back seat. I also found out that this trans shifts damn good while being floored!! I wonder how much HP I am loosing by driving in overdrive?
