Well Im glad to hear that your factory alarmon your 97 is working fine because mine isnt! When I leave the window down and arm the car then unlock the door and open it it doesnt honk beepor anything. Only thing itdoes is makes the honking sound when i arm it , yea and also the PANIC button of course

Reach in and MANUALLY unlock the door. If you use power locks either by key or the button inside, it won't alarm. The security module is smart.
