Getta load of this...
I get a call from my parents a little while ago. It seems a cop came to my parents' house (Oneida, IL) to look at my car. Then a local cop here (Champaign, IL) called me to come look at my car. It seems while I was at Steak and Shake on Friday night, the car, a blue Alero, that was parked next to me wrote down my plates because I was parked too close. I don't really buy that, I had plenty of room to get out, and I have really long legs. Anyway, that lady washed her car today and claimed to have found a white scratch when she was done. So she called the cops and gave them my plate number, claiming I hit her on my way into the spot, which, I think I would have realized I did. The cop expalined it to me then took a look around my car, found nothing new, and if there was anything, it was covered in weeks of road salt, etc. Told me he would report that I was not involved, and to have a good night. Then went on his merry way.
Isn't it a little odd to write down someone'* plates because they are parked too close?

Whuuu?! I bet the woman probably had a white scratch on her car long before. And saw your whitre car next to hers, so she wrote down the plate #'* to try and get something to pay for that scratch. But either way, that sounds ridiculous.
I mean, I have written down a person'* plate # before because they WERE very close to my car, and if I got to my car and found a dent or a bumper cracked, I may have someone that'* responsibile. But if she didn't witness anything happening, she couldn't prove anyone scratched her car, or it would be very hard to prove it anyway. I think she was abusing the law in this situation.

Yea, that can be a problem with easy to remember vanity plates. Somebody could just remember your car and plate and then make something up whenever they want to?
Cop: Sir/Maam Do you know why i pulled you over?
Because i was speeding?
Cop: Any reason you were doing 120 in a 55?
I was being chased by a black bonneville with the license plate TODALL. I was very scared officer. I feared for my life!

I don't actually recall what car was there when I parked, but there was a Bonneville in the spot when we left. So that would mean she left the scene, correct?
I would have checked my car right away, also.
