I know how easy it is to get attached to a car. But when the repair bills start adding up, and when it'* going to cost a bundle to pass a smog test, it might just be easier and less expensive to get a newer car.
Just remember that the best remedy for the pain of losing a loved car is the joy of getting a newer one in better shape with more bells and whistles.
My wife missed her 88 Grand Prix 2 door. -For about 5 minutes, until she got behind the wheel of her 2001 Grand Prix GT 4 door.
