Do you mean they modded the Bonneville to take on a 305 rwd? if so where and who I want to talk to them. I was looking this weekend while I had my dash off and it would be easy as pie to do. I figure it would cost as much as putting a fwd 4.6 in but I could use corvette parts and computer. Hehehe. Then we are talking fun. I figure its worth it if you buy a 1992-95 Bonneville with a blown engine and transaxle and then put the money in the engine and swap. It’* still easier to buy a vette but that’* too easy and boring. So tell me more.

If he had a 305 maybe he didn't have a computer . He could use a vacuum retard for the distributer and I KNOW the engine wouldd ft perfectly in the bay Those mounts are so easy to work with . As far as the RWD part , I'm sure I could MOD my cars frame to take on a 200r4 tranny with a nice camaro rear from the early 90'* . Hook that right up with the camaro discs! Screw the computer , Just remove the engine light and custom wire the rest (but why mess up a simple car , I like the fact that our cars are easy to fix )But it would be fun !!!

Sorry I had to go to the GP forum to get the skinny on the 4.6l fitting in a w body let alone in an H body. Actually the H body has the same clip as a caddy so I already knew this so the h body is an easy swap. The w body requires a little more work but looks like it fit well.

I knew it.
So if you want a kit like this let me know. I will talk to my source for engine swaps and get some ballpark prices.

Why would someone put all that time and money into converting a bonne over to RWD and then put in a worthless 305?
Thats just stupid when a 350 will fit just as well.

If I were to do that modification I would go with an updated Pontiac 400. In my opinion this was the best small block V8 that GM ever made...and it was a true Pontiac engine.
