I am workin on my custom CAI setup, what do you reccomend I do with the PCM. Wrap it? Im trying to figure what to do about it. and I attached the K7N filter almost directly to that piece of tube coming from the TB, so obviously need to get some of the insulation to help the heat stay out

post #483 about PCM protection. its fine, just make sure its secure.. Intense, and ZZP both sell brackets to snap it down. There is no need to shelter it from heat or the elements, it will be OK.

alright, I will have to pick up the tray tomorrow from ZZP, as for the heating issue for the cone[ which is a a solid circle, instead of the tapered one], need to insulate that as much as I can?

try to keep it isolated from the enginebay... you may want to duct it into the fenderwell, or make an enclosure so that it draws air in from outside the engine bay and blocks the heat out.. just make sure that the filter is somewhat safe from big puddles...

I made a custom holder similar to the thrasher intake, aside from the plexiglass top, sitting on the pcm[need a tray still]. Would it be a good idea to duct air from the fender into the enclosure?

once the OEM airbox is taken out there is a large opening leading directly into the fender.. if you box off the filter and leave that opening there for the intake to suck the air in from it will affectively be the same as a Thrasher Intake.
