Default Return to Ennis

Last time I was in Ennis; I was in my GP and got smoked very badly. Last night I was out at the track and this time I took my 1998 SE Bonnie. When I pulled up and told the man that I wanted to run the Bonnie; he looked shocked As it was I watched the big dogs run for a while till my car cooled down a little. I ponderd how badly I was going to get smoked. That would be a bad thing with my girl there Well after about 45 minutes; I moved around to the stagging area. Popped the hood to cool even more. As it was I then got around to the stagging area and got ready. The first car I drew was a Volvo 940 turbo(late model/boxy body). As we got to the light we got ready and took off when it turned green. I thought at first that he had some trouble because I didn't see him, but I dared not turn around to look for fear of causing an accident. I didn't see him untill I was about to cross the line. Guess his turbo kicked in then. On that run I ran 15.976@ 86.06. On the secound run I raced a Nissan Altima. Got the jump on him but he battled back and I thought I'd lost for sure. But wait We hadn't hit the end of the run and for some reason my car began to surge ahead agian. It felt like this race took forever. Won by a nose that time My time was 15.975@ 86.29 Reaction times were.991 and .891 respectively. As it was there were those who were shocked and thought I was lying till they saw the sliver of time sheets (they were cutting them in half last night for some reason). I myself thought it'd be in the mid 16'*, so when I hit consistant 15.9'* it was all good. Mind you I am between 287/300lbs myself so you see how impressive this feat is.
