"everything is for sale at the right price."
as posted by another currently aclaimed "village idiot"
at any rate some people here may be aware of my quest to find a mint condition L67 car, which is not an easy task if you are actually in the market for one specifically.
I should never have test drove that 94SSEi a year ago, since then my boost withdrawl symtoms are getting worse by the day.
So uh I have found a 93 here in town which is the only one I have seen, period.
Sure not a nice looking car ATM, but there is not a junkyard in hundreds of miles that even has a SSE or SSEi parts car.
So I am probably going to consult the owner to see if he/she will be willing to let it go for a decent price.
Now WHAT IS a decent price considering the condition?
As we all should be aware miles on a 12 year old car mean NOTHING in the 3800-powered world.
What WOULD YOU PAY for this car in the present condition assuming it runs good?

Book it out. In many respects, 93 was the key year. First year of the upgraded valvetrain, last year for the paperclip ALDL diagnostics, last year of the ECC diagnostics, etc. 92'* PCM bugs were fixed. Trans was improved. This list is long.
Handling and power are very easily improved.

So um, assuming it has lets say 150,000 miles or so, what would be a good price to have in mind, since IT IS NOT for sale so I want to offer to buy it but dont want to offer too much.
There are no other similar cars in the area on the road, nor have I seen any SSEi'* for sale ANYWHERE IN IDAHO that have a working trans for sale EVER.
But I am just wondering what would be considering paying too much?
Both bumpers are messed up, it is quite beat up as far as paint goes, but it is white so that is an easy to work out as far as matching colors.
Interior is in decent condition with no major tears on the seats

I might have one for sale as soon as i can get something else. IT has some issues but it will be cheap and it comes with a few extra goodies too
