I feel better now
Brought my1 month old 01 ssei in for a couple of fixes on my extended warranty work. oil pressure sending unit, steering wheel positioner sensor, front trans motor mount
(i probally will make a solid one later) they also changed radiator cap, changed coolant and thermostat. Also found out the previious owners had the LIM gasket changed last year, so that makes me feel better. I plan on changing out the coolant every year , does this sound like a good plan. I also found out my catlyic conv. is going bad, that is were my rattling is comming from, I will replace with a high flow. Also saving up some money to do intense stage I package. Did i say I really like this car. Sorry for the long post.

If you insist on running Dex, (a decision I would consider equivalent to smoking cigarettes to protect your lungs because you work without a mask removing asbestos for a living), changing it every year is probably NOT a good idea unless you are sure that you are eliminating every bit of air from the system when it is changed. That is because air and Dex don't get along well, and just changing your coolant can result in the introduction of air. Even without air, Dex will turn acidic in time making your LIM gaskets wish they belonged to someone else. So, changing the Dex before that happens is a necessity. All are not agreed on what that time is, however. The manufacturer says the change interval is five years, others think that time is more like five minutes. Fresh Dex is better than old Dex in the same way that filter cigarettes are better than unfiltered cigarettes in the previous example.

Get the DEX out, and never go back. You'll cause more problems by trying to change it each year than if you just left it in and watched it like a hawk.
