Default Some disappointments I have with my 03 SLE.

After having the car for three days now, I really love my car but there are some shortcomings that I'd like to share.

1. Having owned a 94 Bonneville, (This is for the hardtop) I am shocked that the maplight section of the roof is completly unchanged.(except for the foglight button.) That pocket,(which I hate) and the sunglass holder and power outlet. I can't believe thay remodeled the whole car in 2k and they left this the same.

2. Glove box. This glove box is aweful. You have this big *** door and you have to have arms like Shaq to be able to reach in from the driver seat. Plus, there is hardly any room in there for anything.

3. Useless Temperature gauge. My 94, the temp gauge read the actual temparature all the time. This car, it goes to 200 and stays there. No better than an idiot light.

That 200 gauge is a piece, just pick up a 180* Drilled T-stat for a couple bucks and an Intense PCM, then it'll read about 180

Actually, the gauge is such a piece that even after the stat and PCM, unless you look real closely, it still looks like it'* sitting at the 200 mark

they made the gauge that way so that people wouldn't get crazy over a couple of degrees. This way it needs to move for you to get worried.

About the temp. gauge, I also owned two Trans Am'*. A 96 and a 99. My 96, like my 94 Bonne, had a functional temp. gauge. My 99, however, was like my 03 Bonnie. Useless. I know the 98 camaro/firebirds had functional temp gauge, so I'm assuming, like the Firebird/camaro, this idiot gauge appeared in 99.
