yup its the spring... they sag and break... had them on both of my lumina'*

Does anyone have a schematic of what it looked like. :?:

It actually is the spring, not a swaybar.
I am not sure what other cars had them, but I know the early 90'* Lumina had the fiberglass spring also. I have seen many of them break and sag pretty bad in the back end
as far as i know the corvettes and first gen w-bodys were and still are the only cars to get them so: 90-94 lumina, 88-96 regal, 88-96 Grand Prix, and 88-97 Cutlass supreme.

they do break over time, some worse then others, mine just sags some, kinda annoys me but i'll live till i find a good one. w-body.com is an awesome resource for those first gens. neat implementation of IRS if you ask me.
