Default Air intake help pleeeze!!!

I think i found a very good spot to extend my ari intake to, I just need to know a couple of things.
1 what is the canister located under the stock airbox???
I think it is the charcoal thing...
2 Can i move it or hang it elsewhere and run my air intake bown the hole where it sits?

First of all, you won't run without the evap canister. Your PCM won't let you. You'll have to relocate 2 vacuum lines, a 2-wire harness, and a fuel line to do that. Fuel line comes out the bottom, I think. It could be tough. Pulling air from behind the headlights and the driver'* side fender is preferable. Easier, and just as effective.

Get a very little scoop and rip a hole in your hood.
