Default Questions on possible future project

Ok, say someone took like 4 different cars to strip so that one could be assembled ...say...

you used car number 1 as the build on car, it has dented quarter panels, a dented passenger door, messed up hood, a rusted out control arm, bad gauges, and has a thrown rod, but it'* structurally sound
this car has about 300k miles...

and then you used the trunk, passenger door and instrument panel (which has approx 200k) from car number 2

used the hood and quarter panels and suspension parts from car number 3

and used the engine and transmission from car number 4

heres the questions...now being that most of these parts are VIN tagged for theft ident purposes...such as the hood, trunk and quarter panels (I think), now if you re assembled a vehicle with all those different parts from different cars....which VIN would you use, would you have to get a special title for the car and what mileage would the car be since a 300k automotive core has a 200k odometer, but the vin registers with 300k? would it be just one of those "not actual mileage" titles?

I have been thinking about doing this with a few cars I have already found from different JYs around the area. The engine and trans are from an 89 LE that is completely SMASHED from behind and then rolled over, but it only has like 70k!!! so its nice. But umm, there is also a wrecked 98 SSEi RIGHT NEXT to it with the full engine...(no one has taken it because the accident smashed the header panel right up THROUGH the radiator and into the left bank'* valve cover....so that would require some serious jaws of life action to get that engine out...I don't know the mileage...digital odometer..go figure...and umm so yeah. But I guess no one has enough ambition to attack that thing.

Also, is it easy to attach SSE ground affects to an SE or LE? How much drilling is required?

So all I need is a truck w/ car hauler so that I can get the core outta there along with all the parts from the other cars. And then I need just a tad more money to fund it, and then I need a place to put the car and car parts. I would like to get all 4 cars and then just give them back when I have used all I need but that would require even MORE space So thats my thing. Please help and let me know if I can even legally accomplish this. Then I have to figure out a way to paint the zebra car!

thanks guys

Parts swapping doesn't matter.

Technically when you change motors you are supposed to inform the DMV or Registry (whatever your state calls Motor Vehicle Dept). As far as swapping the cluster.. that can be handled with a odometer discrepancy report, also DMV.

You'd use the vin on the shell since it'* attached to the dash.

About half of my 93SE is out of a 94SSE I got from a scrap metal recycler.

Interior, Trans (sometimes), trunk, lots of electronics...

I had a car with the VIN attached to the dash, and I swapped the dash with another one, because mine was all cracked and busted from the sun. The VIN was riveted to the dash, so I just drilled it out and pop-riveted my original VIN to the new dash. Some dashes have the VIN molded into it. I'm not completely certain that you'd change to using the VIN on a JY dash if you just changed the dash. Check with your individual state'* DMV, they may have specific rules regarding the VIN.
