Default Cheap vs. Expensive Oil

I was using some expensive High Mileage oil and a FRAM High Mileage oil filter for a while now, and the engine always ran at 2000RPMs even when going 70 mph, also this was 5w-30. Then a few weeks ago, I took my car to a local shop to have it changed (with their oil (Cenex Brand)). I am pretty sure they used 10w-30, but that would not really make a difference for cruising now would it? ANYWAYS, there is just cheap oil in there, no additives, no special oil filter, but now it loafs at 1700RPM @ 70MPH....explain that!!!

K&N does make an oil filter, for 12 freakin bucks!!! I prefer Delco or Purolator filters myself. There'* an article about why Frams are so bad linked several times through the club. I'm running a Valvoline filter right now, since that'* all they had but Fram or a $12 K&N

As for the RPMs, it makes sense that oil could affect RPMs (thus the advertising that synthetic oils will increase power), but I am not gonna try and figure it out or explain why I think it makes sense (slicker engine works less to make same power). But, 30 wt should be 30 wt.....

hmm, i have done EVERYTHING wrong...everything that i found out is bad, i have done

i was running pennzoil oil, a fram filter, bosch plugs, i have a dirty engine, i overheated my car, killed a whole bunch of sensors, i got it soo hot it was pre-igniting, i ran it through a ditch, i replaced my alternator with a rebuit 105 amp, i have crappy coils, i am using a used radiator, my car is rusting, i am no longer using a K&N drop in air filter, i have no mods whatsoever, i have an LE, it has an LN3, my tires suck, my wheels suck, my interior is dirty, and sucks, my brake system is on its last legs, i wonder what more can be wrong with the car i drive....
