Default Trans won't engage

I just changed the brakes on my 95 Trans Am. Everything had been working fine until this. When I finished and went to move the car the car would not engage into any gear. Shifter is moving just fine as is the linkage but I'm not getting anything. Could use any help with this one

jack up the car and see if the linkage where it meets the trans is moving, if it is try taking the linkage off and moving the bracket by hand, if you can move it by hand and nothing happens must be something internal. hopefully its just loose and needs adjustment. dont know how any of that relates to brakes but sometimes you just have multiple issues

Have already checked the linkage and haven't found any metal in the pan so I'm thinking its not internal. Thinking it maybe a sensor or solenoid

If the linkage on the outside of the transmission is moving, and it'* not changing gears, the problem is inside.
