Warranty Work.

Warranty Work.
Ok, when taking the car in for warranty work, should I de-mod the car? The only thing that could void my warranty really is the intake setup.. So, do I need to de-mod the car to make it look stock so that my warranty will be intact? It'* a GM protection Plan warranty. (extended GM warranty)
The things I need fixed are:
Intermediate steering shaft (it pops when I turn.)
Transmission shift solenoid (I think.. it shifts hard under light throttle occasionally.)
DIC light burned out
A-pillar leather trim is bubbling
Airbox sheild (it sucks papers out of the airbox from the climate control fan.)

It'* up to you, but really up to how cool the dealer'* service department is.
I've got the same GM extended service Warrenty and have never had a problem with it, note I have a decently sized mod list. Have been taking it there for last 2 years. Had intermedite shaft replaced, transmision mounts, wheel bearings, Manifold gasket and hand full of 19.99 oil changes. I walk into my local Pontiac service department (and parts department) and everyone knows my name. I think of "Cheers" everytime I have to go to the dealer.
Use to take my 96 Olds Aurora to the dealer with an intake, ported throttle body, exhaust, and a custom stereo, never had a problem either and that service was at a caddy dealer.
Leave the intake on, live on the edge!!!!

but yeah remove the intake though, just becuase they can start crap over that. as long as the engine bay looks stock they cant really say too much.
If you have a PCM in the car make sure you remove it as well lol. They might find a way to flash it back to factory spec

I would probably put it back stock, but for what it'* worth, I remember reading on the K&N website (or some website where they sell K&N, probably AJUSA.com) where they have a page devoted to saying that a K&N filter won't void your car warranty, and that by law a car manufacturer is not allowed to require that you use any specific brand of air filter. So you should be good to go without putting the intake back to stock.
But like I said, I'd do it anyway, just to avoid any hassle with anyone unfamiliar with the law, assuming there really is a law.

I took mine into the stealership for a free IS greasing[sent me a postcard for my b-day with free stuff], and when I took it in, they kinda looked at the FWI, but didnt say or do anything about it. Also, they made a note on my cars file to not flash the PCM unless talked to me first.
