Exclamation Heater Problem on 2000 Bonneville

Okay the heater on my car is messed up..... when you turn on my heater it blows cold and sometimes it will just start blowing hot but after a few minutes it blows cold again.... why is this and what could cause it to blow cold

Could be air in the cooling system, or a blend door sticking. Start by bleeding the coolant system.
