Prepare for the weather!
With nothing but rain and snow in our forecast, now is a good time to remind everyone to check/prepare your vehciles for winter weather (assuming you live somewhere that actually gets "winter".) Recently, motorists were stranded on the interstate for 12 hours when a freak snowstorm landed on Western NY.
Packing your car with extra hat/gloves/blankets...first aid supplies, jumper cables, flares, etc is a good idea.
Safety is a main concern: Tires are the first thing that come to mind...check tread and ensure proper tire pressure. What are other tips and suggestions?

On the power antenna, check your motor casing drain. Pull it out and make sure it'* not plugged.

Transmission service cant hurt either...keep that fluid new, no viscosity issues 
Thermostat? What temp rating is it?
Oil change..5w30 mightbe a good idea?

Lock cylinders too. Freezing rain is a big problem in the valley here.

Yes, I am preparing for the season.
Made sure the garage was vacuumed clean and the door seals are well lubbed.
Snugged the car cover on the Formula and dusted off the Bonne for their 3 month rest. :P

Use the RainX brand of winter solution. Don't get that 99cent Walmart cheap **** either. I have had the cheap stuff freeze the second it hits my windshield.
Battery insulation
Plug in heaters for cooling/oil
Winter wiper blades.
Bag of sand in the trunk. Provides xtra weight for rear end traction and should you get stuck.
Grease up that electrical connector on the floor drivers side with electrical grease.
