Picking up a 03 SSEi tommorrow
I have been test driving an 03 since saturday and plan on laying down the money tomorrow even though i have read some pretty bad stories about them. This car just hit 45,000 miles and i am buying an extended warranty for 36,000 miles for $2000.I have them checking the service stability control light and fixing whatever the problem is and wetsanding out some of the scratches it has.Is there anyone here who wishes they wouldnt have ever bought this car?Just want to be sure i am doing the right thing. Thanks to all.

Thuogh I don't know anything about the exact car you want to buy, I'd say go for it. I had to ask myself the same question and I almost bought an 05 Camry instead. But after getting behind the wheel of a Bonneville, you get hooked. Good luck and if/when you do run into trouble just run a search of the problem or post a thread about it....these guys know it all.

Moved to General since there'* not a specific mechanical issue being discussed.
I figure that all cars have their "quirks"...that'* what brought me to the club in the first place. Regrets? None.

Just look at the sticky at the top of the page for 00+ for common probs. See if the one you want has any such issues. I think from what I have read on BC some kinks were worked out by '03???
Lots of luck... don't regret mine! Get the warranty.

I saw most of the problems these cars have i just wanted to know if anyone was ever in my shoes and now regrets their decision. After having the car for a few days and putting at least 400 miles on it i really came to love it.Its funny because at first i really didnt care for it.My other choice WAS a 98-00 lexus GS400.I can no longer see my self in one of those.I think i made the right decision. Thanks for the welcome!
