Default PCM And Driving Habbits

Do the stock PCM'* actually learn you're driving habbits? As some of you may know my trans shifts too slow and smooth. Today I was in a nasty hurry and kept going WOT on the highway. When I got off the highway it was shifting so rough and fast it was great! But I drive pretty hard a lot and its never happend before. So is there a certain # of times you have to punch it to get the PCM to shift it hard. After I turned off and restarted 20 minutes later it was back to normal. during the time though It was like the PCM turned my line pressure way up. I wish I got it on video, it would even chirp into second!

Yup. Kinda sucks when you're stuck creeping in rush hour, so it "learns" grampa mode, and then you finally get to an open spot and she won't take off like you want.

Pretty quick learner, tho. Noprmally only takes mine a couple of fast take-offs to realize what I want.

This was the first time for me. No torque management or anything. It was 5 minutes of performance bliss.

Mine has always been that way too. Remember this is a first. What did it was I let off real fast at the 2nd- 3rd shift, let it drop to 65mph, then smashed it and let off again real fast at 80mph on the off ramp and gave good hard braking to turn right. This is when it got bad a$$. Maybe the PCM needs to realize you mean buisiness.
