Default New to the board...'04 GXP Info?

Hey Gang...

I'm Dave...new to this board...I am here looking for some info for my Dad, and I figured you all could probably help. He'* got a 2001 Bonneville SSEi (black, one of the coolest 4-door vehicles I've ever driven) His lease is about to run out in October, and I've been telling him about the new GXP I've read about. I believe I read that it'* actually being produced for the '04 model year (perhaps even w/ the V8?), so I was wondering if there had been any announcements (or speculation) as to when these might hit the showroom?

OH...and FYI...I'm just a bit of a Pontiac fan myself. ..Here'* my baby:

(looking at picture of 2k2 Firehark)

ok, just need to wipe off the drool.

Welcome to the club.

The Bonneville GXP will be a v8 and rwd. There are a few links here already on it. Here is one of the bigger ones: http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...252&highlight=

If you go up to the search field and search for "GXP" there are about 4 pages of posts, but there are about a dozen that are just on the car alone. I know there are a few good links barried within these threads. The GXP should be a nicely packaged sleeper car. Maybe not as fast as your T/A, but more than expected from a 4 door sedan.

If you couldn't tell, I love the Firehawks. I almost bought a 2k one EXACTLY like yours.

NICE FIREHAWK!!! My friend has a black 91 firebird, and it'* fun, although it'* the v6 so my car is faster... I'd rather have his, but i need more room, and winterbility...

GORDY WTF, WHY DID YOU NOT GET ONE??? Well i guess you wouldn't be here now or making your own site for us MN'ers... The GXP is amazing to say the least.... Magazines need to look at it for a second.

I had the paperwork done on one that was a 2k with under 5000 on it. After I stepped back and looked at the insurance, financeing, trade in value, etc.. it just didn't seem right. About 6 months later I looked back on it and where I was financially and it was a good call. Either way I'm seriously looking at the 04 GTO for my next car (addition, not a trade in ). Although I have thought about getting a GXP as well.
