Default Holy crap$$$

Can't belive how much GMPD wants for a oem Catalytic Converter.
611.03 for OEM. Thats a joke, I can have a universal one bought and installed for 100.00 lmao.
Incase your wondering, my Cat conveter is definally dead. When the car is running you can hear it vibrating, if u hit it with a stick u can hear it vibrate. When its cold it runs alright, once its hot, it idles badly and when u hit on the throttle it bogs down, you can definatlly tell its plugged. By the way, this converter also looks like its the original one.
I'm thinking a universal one will do the job no problems, its more cost effective for me right now, trying to build my savings account up so i can get 4 new tires and go to Oregon...lol.

Ya I was just talking to John Deer Boy about that on AIM about a half hour ago.....I suggest a Magnaflow High Flow 2.5" cat...Like 55 bux shipped off Ebay. He said that his GM dealer wanted something like 583 for one.

I would look into a high flow cat if I was you, I mean you have to change it anyhow, so see what the $$$ difference is. It may be worth it.

Exhaust work can be really cheap if you shop around. I got my 2.5" magnaflow hi-flow cat off ebay for $57 from a user named "performance peddler" as well as my flowmaster 80 for $70. I got both in a reasonable amount of time with no problems. Both were installed for $100. Not much for the the results, I can tell you that.

Catalytic Converters are the biggest crock on a car. You get ticketed if you dont have one and to get a new OEM one you get totally fleeced. Aftermarket is the way to go.

I payed 120 bucks last september at the Raceway Park Swap Meet for a magnaflow muffler and high flow cat. There are so many great deals out there on this stuff youve just gotta search for them. anyone would be crazy to spend full price on OEM parts especially from the factory.
